Each campaign, explained

Campaign 26V371000: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024 Explorer vehicles equipped with a 2.3L engine and 10R60 automatic transmission. An unintentional powertrain control module (PCM) reset may occur while the vehicle is in motion and result in park system damage.

The risk: A park system that is damaged may not shift into "PARK," resulting in a vehicle rollaway and increasing the risk of injury or crash. Affected in our catalog: 2024 Ford Explorer.

Campaign 26V372000: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 Ford Mustang, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 19V076. At vehicle start-up, the Instrument Panel Cluster Assembly (IPC) may not function, showing a blank display. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."

The risk: A blank instrument cluster that fails to display critical safety information, such as vehicle speed or safety system warnings, increases the risk of a crash. Affected in our catalog: 2019 Ford Mustang.

Campaign 26V373000: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2020 F-150 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 20V097. When the headlight switch is turned from "Autolamps" to "Headlamps On," the Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) may remain fully bright instead of dimming to parking lamps as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS)…

The risk: Daytime Running Lamps that do not dim may reduce the visibility of other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Affected in our catalog: 2019 Ford F-150, 2020 Ford F-150.

Campaign 26V374000: VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017 Escape vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 16V617. The power-operated windows may exert excessive force when encountering an object, before they automatically reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 118, "Power-Operated Window Systems."

The risk: A closing window that does not reverse direction as expected can pinch a driver or passenger before retracting, increasing the risk of injury. Affected in our catalog: 2017 Ford Escape.

Campaign 26V378000: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM)

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2014 F-150 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V444. A loss of signal between the transmission output shaft speed sensor and the powertrain control module (PCM) can cause the transmission to unexpectedly downshift into first gear.

The risk: Unexpectedly downshifting into first gear may result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Affected in our catalog: 2014 Ford F-150.

Campaign 26V365000: STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS

American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2016-2022 Honda Pilot, 2017-2023 Ridgeline, 2019-2023 Passport, and 2014-2020 Acura MDX vehicles that were sold in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West…

The risk: Failure of rear suspension components, such as the rear control arm, can cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Affected in our catalog: 2014 Acura Mdx, 2015 Acura Mdx, 2016 Acura Mdx, 2016 Honda Pilot and 21 more model years.

What to do if your car is on this list

  • Confirm your exact vehicle is included. Campaigns often cover specific build dates, not the whole model year. Run your 17-character VIN to check.
  • Book the free repair. Recall work costs $0 at any franchised dealer for that brand, whether or not you bought the car there.
  • Buying used? Check the full pre-purchase checklist and make completed recall work part of the price conversation, our guide to checking used-car recalls shows how.

Methodology

Counts reflect NHTSA recall campaigns dated June 2026 as recorded in the Carchieve research catalog (1,396 US model-year vehicles, model years 2000-2026). The catalog tracks popular US-market vehicles, so this is a curated view, not a list of every campaign NHTSA issued industry-wide. Campaign details are quoted from official NHTSA records. Frequently asked questions

How many cars were recalled in June 2026?

Within the Carchieve catalog of 1,396 tracked US model-year vehicles, 6 NHTSA recall campaigns dated June 2026 affected 31 model-year vehicles. Industry-wide NHTSA totals are higher, since our catalog focuses on popular models.

Are recall repairs really free?

Yes. By US federal law, safety recall repairs are performed free of charge by franchised dealers of that brand, regardless of where you bought the car or whether the warranty has expired.

How do I check if my exact car is affected by one of these recalls?

Run your 17-character VIN. Recall campaigns usually cover specific production windows, so two identical-looking cars from the same model year can differ. A VIN-level check like Carchieve’s confirms which campaigns apply to your exact vehicle.

Should I avoid buying a car that appears in this roundup?

Not necessarily. A recalled car with the free repair completed is typically as safe as any other. The red flag is an unrepaired open recall the seller cannot document, treat that as a negotiation point and get the work done before or right after purchase.
