Guidelines for law enforcement and government agencies

Carchieve is committed to protecting our customers' privacy while supporting valid legal process. This page explains how law enforcement and government agencies can request records, and what we require before we disclose information.

What we require

We disclose customer information only when we receive valid legal process appropriate to the request:

• Subpoena. Required for basic subscriber information, such as the name and email associated with an account.
• Court order. Required for non-content records, such as report and transaction logs.
• Search warrant. Required for the contents of any stored communications, issued on a showing of probable cause.

Emergency requests

In emergencies involving a risk of death or serious physical injury, we may review and respond to requests submitted by a law enforcement official without legal process, on a voluntary basis and consistent with applicable law.

How to submit a request

Submit valid legal process to our legal team at info@carchieve.com with the subject line “Law Enforcement Request.” Please include the requesting agency, the legal process, the specific records sought and a response deadline. We will respond to valid requests as promptly as the law requires.

Data retention

We retain account and transaction records only as long as needed to provide our service and meet legal obligations. We do not retain payment card numbers.
