This is a revised version of SB No. 246 which was issued in March, 2018, informing Suzuki dealers about the details of a customer satisfaction Service Campaign being conducted by Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. to replace the right handlebar switch assembly on affected motorcycles. Water can infiltrate the starter switch in the right handlebar switch assembly and cause a short circuit. If water remains on the electrical contacts of the starter switch, the engine may start automatically when turning the ignition key ON. The malfunction indicator light may also illuminate if teh motorcycle continues to be ridden with this short circuit. The revision to the original bulletin involves an instruction to dealers to refrain from selling or delivering an affected vehicle without first performing the Customer Satisfaction Campaign repair.
