Quick answer

The purpose of this Product Upgrade owner notification letter is to inform the owners of certain model year 2018 Holiday Rambler Altera Class C gas motorhomes, certain model year 2018 Holiday Rambler Reno Class A gas motorhomes, and certain model year 2019-2020 Holiday Rambler Admiral Class A gas motorhomes about Product Upgrade 190723REV. On certain motorhomes affected by this product upgrade campaign, incorrect fasteners may have been used to secure some of the Carefree Longitude awning legs to the sidewall of the vehicle. Should this condition exist, there is a possibility of premature failure of the awning and/or its components. On certain affected motorhomes (equipped with a Carefree Longitude awning 20 feet or longer), the required center awning support brace may omitted during awning installation at the factory. Without this support brace, there is a possibility of premature failure of the awning and/or its components.

What this bulletin may mean before buying

Treat this as service research, not a verdict on one car. Before you buy, compare this communication with official recall campaigns, model-level owner complaint patterns, and the exact vehicle’s VIN-decoded specifications. A bulletin can help you ask a seller or dealer sharper questions about software updates, known repairs, warranty extensions and service history.
