NHTSA Service Bulletin 10175596: 2017-2019 Altec Digger Derrick
Official manufacturer communication context for 2017-2019 Altec Digger Derrick, with affected products, buyer checks and links into Carchieve recall, problem and VIN research.
Reviewed June 2026 from NHTSA manufacturer communication and service bulletin records. Carchieve is independent and not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer or government agency.
Service Information Letter 744 notified customers that the mounting hole for the return filter on the hydraulic reservoir was produced over-sized on the affected units. This can cause the O-ring between the return filter head and the reservoir to not seal properly which can result in potential water intrusion. Altec has designed an adapter plate and gasket to provide the correct hole diameter for the proper sealing of the O-ring. Order the Return Filter Seal and Plate Kit, part number 990875329, by calling 1-877-GO ALTEC (1-877-462-5832). Altec suggests that the kit be installed no later than the next regular maintenance interval or 90 days from the receipt of this SIL, whichever comes first. This repair
