It is possible for the welds to crack around the front side of the lift axle suspension hangers where they are welded to the bottom of the frame flange and mounting plate. If the weld cracks are not caught during normal monthly inspections and maintenance, the cracks can propagate into a larger problem and premature wear. East Manufacturing Corporation will voluntarily remedy this defect at no charge to the trailer owner by adding additional support to the mounting area, as well as having the welds inspected and repaired as needed.
