Quick answer

Complaint The fault code C112502 is logged (as current or stored) in the rear axle control unit (N68/4). Cause The fault code is caused by communication with the ESP control unit: 1. After carrying out a quick test or performing a diagnosis on the ESP control unit (N30/3): This fault code occurs in the ESP control unit (N30/3) as a result of the diagnosis performed with XENTRY Diagnosis. At the point of diagnosis, the ESP control unit (N30/3) sends the value "ERROR" on the FlexRay. The rear axle steering control unit (N68/4) is not able to process this value and logs the fault code C112502. 2. As a result of a fault code logged in the ESP control unit (N30/3): As a result of the fault code logged in the ESP control unit (N30/3), the ESP control unit (N30/3) sends the value "ERROR" on the FlexRay and the rear axle steering (N68/4) switches to the safe mode provided for this purpose. Remedy Re. cause 1: If fault code C112502 does not occur until after a quick test or after a diagnosis performed directly in the ESP control unit (N30/3), the fault code can be ignored and deleted directly in the rear axle steering control unit (N68/4). If the fault code is current, perform an ignition off/on so that the fault code is only registered as stored. Re. cause 2: If fault code C112502 is already present when the first quick test is carried out, check and process the fault code(s) in the ESP control unit (N30/3). Here too, the fault code can be ignored and deleted directly in the rear axle steering control unit (N68/4).
