NHTSA Service Bulletin 10224325: Cummins B6.7
Official manufacturer communication context for model years not specified Cummins B6.7, with affected products, buyer checks and links into Carchieve recall, problem and VIN research.
Reviewed June 2026 from NHTSA manufacturer communication and service bulletin records. Carchieve is independent and not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer or government agency.
This Technical Service Bulletin has been issued for Coolant Level Sensor Identification. Symptom: There can be two coolant level sensors (typically on the Bus Applications) that are related to the coolant level sensor. One coolant level sensor is connected to the ECM and the fault code, the other coolant level sensor is connected to the OEM as the dashboard light. Verification is the fault code can only be cleared and issue corrected by troubleshooting the correct coolant level sensor. Before beginning the troubleshooting process, the correct sensor that connects back to the ECM must be identified. When the ECM is powered down the OEM sensor will still have voltage. If there are two coolant level sensors, identify the correct ECM connected coolant level sensor and continue with the normal troubleshooting steps
What this bulletin may mean before buying
Treat this as service research, not a verdict on one car. Before you buy, compare this communication with official recall campaigns, model-level owner complaint patterns, and the exact vehicle’s VIN-decoded specifications. A bulletin can help you ask a seller or dealer sharper questions about software updates, known repairs, warranty extensions and service history.
