NHTSA Service Bulletin 10230924: 2018-2023 Ford Expedition
Official manufacturer communication context for 2018-2023 Ford Expedition, with affected products, buyer checks and links into Carchieve recall, problem and VIN research.
Reviewed June 2026 from NHTSA manufacturer communication and service bulletin records. Carchieve is independent and not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer or government agency.
Some 2018-2023 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may have a concern where the second row seat is locked in the forward tilted position while using Easy Entry preventing rearward movement. To unlock the seat, tip the seat back fully forward and slide the seat fully forward to its end of track travel. This will allow the seat to then be free to move rearward. This operation is characteristic to the Easy Entry feature of the second row seats. Do not force the seat rearward while in the locked position as it can result in damage to the seat track. Refer to the vehicle's Owner's Manual for further details.
