Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from Warn Industries, Inc. that a bumper winch supplied on certain Altec units could contain a defect related to motor vehicle safety. Certain Altec units built from December 2020 to September 2022 equipped with Warn Industries could be affected. Warn Industries has decided that a defect that relates to motor vehicle safety exists in the handheld remote control device sold with WARN VR EVO winches. A small number of remotes that have been exposed to or submerged in water have exhibited failures that can result in unintended winch operation, which increases the risk of injury.
