Mercedes-Benz AG (MBAG), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY21-23 C-Class, EQS, S-Class, SL, EQE, GLC (206, 296, 297, 223, 232, 294, 295, 254 platform) vehicles, the head unit software will be updated remotely to MBUX 2.4. With this update, customers will benefit from many new functions and features, such as video streaming (note that the Entertainment Package Plus is required for streaming and can be purchased from the Mercedes me Store by the end of 2023), Dolby Atmos, MBUX Voice Assistant (NewsFlash & Tourguide), a personal decorative image on the front passenger display, and more. Remote software updates are automatically downloaded and installed in the customers vehicle free of charge without an additional workshop visit via the data link of the communication module.
