Complaint Indentations in the roof paneling in row bow areas. Note: This is within the surface area of the roof skin when no sunroof is applicable. See attached photo. Cause Flexibility of adhesive joint between roof bow and roof paneling. Remedy 1 - Remove headliner, see AR68.30-P-4300WT. 2 - Cut open adhesive bead in area of visible deformation in roof paneling using a cutting wire at the roof bows. *Caution: Do not damage coating on inside of roof paneling. 3 - Relieve tension of outer skin of roof by applying heat (sun or paint drying booth). 4 - Check again if indentations are still visible. If yes, continue cutting open bead. Otherwise, move on to the next point 5 - Only continue with further operations after roof paneling has cooled down. 6 - Touch up any paint damage on roof bow or inside of roof paneling using touch-up paint pen/primer stick. 7 - Finally, apply adhesive sealing compound using cartridge gun. Apply the material here to the cut open gap and flat onto the surrounding old adhesive sealing compound. Make sure that the adhesive sealing compound makes contact between the roof bow and the roof paneling. 8 - Install headliner, see AR68.30-P-4300WT.
