If No: Clear the fault code memory, in-depth fault search in the environment of the ECU + in-depth questions to the customer about the situations when the fault occurred? *ECU-exchange only when an external failure cause can be ruled out.* If Yes: Replace the ECU. If (fault momentarily present) or (repeated repair with the same fault) Program the ECU with the most recent SW, repeat the check for the fault.
