NHTSA Service Bulletin 11021703: 2025 Ford Ranger
Official manufacturer communication context for 2025 Ford Ranger, with affected products, buyer checks and links into Carchieve recall, problem and VIN research.
Reviewed June 2026 from NHTSA manufacturer communication and service bulletin records. Carchieve is independent and not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer or government agency.
Some 2025 Ranger vehicles equipped with a 2.3/2.7L EcoBoost engine built on or before 12-June-2025 and 2025 Ranger Raptor vehicles equipped with a 3.0L EcoBoost engine built on or before 18-June-2025 may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3012:68 stored in the ABS module. The vehicle may also exhibit any of the following symptoms: a soft brake pedal following vehicle start-up, various brake system illuminated warning lamps and/or brake-related messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to a controller area network (CAN) communication concern within the ABS module. To correct this condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 2005 and labor operations 2219D and 2219D44 in Section 02 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
What this bulletin may mean before buying
Treat this as service research, not a verdict on one car. Before you buy, compare this communication with official recall campaigns, model-level owner complaint patterns, and the exact vehicle’s VIN-decoded specifications. A bulletin can help you ask a seller or dealer sharper questions about software updates, known repairs, warranty extensions and service history.
