Quick answer

This bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted below in Red. 01-007/24 06/20/24 ENGINE OIL LEVEL WARNING LIGHT ON WITH DTC P250F:00 DUE TO LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL (UPDATED WITH SSPD5 INFORMATION). All Mazda Dealers: Follow the Special Service Program SSPD5 Valve Stem Seal Class Action for determination if valve stem seals should be replaced. 1. Verify the customer concern following the Special Service Program SSPD5 Repair Procedure. As the repair procedure states in SSPD5, confirm the engine oil is not leaking from the engine. If the customer reports engine oil is low upon arrival at a dealer, replace the valve stem seals following the flow chart for SSPD5. If engine oil is low upon arrival with no customer complaint, check for SSPD5 and if the valve stem seals have not been replaced under prior Warranty, replace the seals. If the valve stem seals have been replaced under a prior Warranty claim, contact Hotline for further instructions. If valve stem seals need to be replaced, replace the valve seals of the exhaust side with improved ones using the special tools called out in the repair procedures below. 2. Top off the engine oil (if needed). NOTE: Engine oil should not be topped off without replacement of the valve stem seals. 3. Verify the repair. NOTE: If unsure what steps to take during a customer visit for oil consumption related to SSPD5, fill out Dealer Recall Help on OneMazda.

Before you buy, compare this communication with official recall campaigns, model-level owner complaint patterns, and the exact vehicle’s VIN-decoded specifications.
