Complaint Coolant indicator lamp lights up Coolant level too low Cause If one of the following part numbers is installed when replacing the axle drive module, air may enter into the cooling system. EQB: Part number for front axle: (A 243 340 89 02) or (A 243 340 90 02). Part number for rear axle: (A 243 340 88 02). Therefore, when replacing either electric drive, whether or not a complaint exists as part of this replacement process, always check the radiator cap too and replace it, if necessary. If the complaint for low coolant occurs without an axle drive module replacement, the red radiator cap A 297 500 51 00 should still be replaced for the large chamber. Remedy EQB (model series 243): If a black cap is installed on the large chamber of the coolant expansion reservoir, replace it with a red cap with part number (A 297 500 51 00). The black cap on the small chamber must not be replaced. The correct caps are shown in the picture.
