Complaint Instrument cluster message "4MATIC inoperative". The following fault code may be present in all-wheel drive control unit N15/17: P147354 - Erroneous adaptation of the transfer case. The calibration is missing. P14759A - The coupling of the transfer case has malfunctioned. The operating conditions for the component or the system have not been fulfilled. Cause Coupling of the rear axle differential has reached the wear limit or a coupling defect is present. Remedy Please read off the installed part number of the rear axle differential. For model designations (flat model series and not AMG 35 variants) 118345; 118347; 118613; 118615; 118647; 177013; 177015; 177045; 177047; 177145; 177147; 177188; 177945; 247013; 247045; 247047, 247476 247747, 247646 247647 the following applies: If part number A2473502702 is not installed, the coupling package can be replaced. To this end, a repair kit has been added as a replacement part. If part number A2473502702 is installed, the installation of the coupling package repair kit is not permissible and the rear axle differential should be replaced. For model designations (high model series and AMG 35 variants) 177151; 177051; 118351; 118651; 177951, 247751 247753, 274651 the following applies: If one of the part numbers A2473502702; A2473502503; A2473504504 has not been installed, the coupling package can be replaced. To this end, a repair kit has been added as a replacement part.
