Complaint Wind noises in area along the top of windshield at speeds above 60mph. Cause Insufficient sealing between the windshield lip seal and the body. Remedy Preliminary Check: Before beginning repairs, verify the source of the wind noise: 1. Mask off the joint between the windshield and the roof using tape. 2. Perform a test drive. 3. If the wind noise is no longer present, proceed with the repair steps below. 4. If the wind noise is still present, further diagnosis is required to locate the source of the noise. Repair Procedure: 1. Using tape, mask off the front edge of the roof along the entire length of the lip seal. (See Image1) 2. Apply window sealant between the lip seal and the body panel. (See Image 2) 3. Press the lip seal onto the front edge of the roof. 4. Clean the work area thoroughly and remove any excess sealant material. 5. Perform a road test to confirm the wind noise concern has been resolved.
