Complaint Paint damage to the rear bumper due to collision with the rear-end door (see attached photo). Both the right and left sides may be affected. Affects vehicles from model series 290 in the production period 10/2023 -> 09/2024. Cause The spring dampers on the bottom of the rear-end door (right and/or left) have been screwed into the limit stop. To do so, carry out the following steps. 1. Open rear-end door 2. Check position of the spring dampers on the right and left 3. Unscrew incorrectly positioned spring dampers to a distance of 3 mm (see attached photo). Important: Check and ensure the closing force of the rear-end door after unscrewing. 4. Check rear bumper and the rear-end door for paint damage. Selectively rework noticeable problems or paint damage.
