Complaint Clattering noise at seat belt height adjuster in B-pillar trim Cause Play between seat belt adjuster and guide rail Remedy Installing a 70x60x3 mm felt pad below the seat belt adjuster. The felt is supplied by the meter and must be cut to the specified dimension. Procedure: 1) Set the seat belt height adjuster to the highest position 2) Position the felt (long side, 70 mm) centrally along the folded adhesive edge of the fabric trim (see picture) Note: Bond the felt so that the height adjuster always slides over it. Otherwise, there is a risk that the felt will be pushed off when adjusting the seat belt height adjuster. Do not position the felt too high, as it may become visible on the opposite side.
What this bulletin may mean before buying
Treat this as service research, not a verdict on one car. Before you buy, compare this communication with official recall campaigns, model-level owner complaint patterns, and the exact vehicle’s VIN-decoded specifications. A bulletin can help you ask a seller or dealer sharper questions about software updates, known repairs, warranty extensions and service history.
